My experience to date covers client-side and agency, and has seen me working across multiple sectors and the entire digital and marketing landscape.

Profile

I have grown two agencies and have always managed the day-to-day in a strategic and operational capacity, leading the team from the front, but also rolling my sleeves up in projects. This means I’m well-placed to oversee any client-facing aspects of an agency offer – from account management and project management, to strategic planning and delivery, and I can also handle the commercial and managerial responsibilities of running a business.I am a digital-first creative thinker and have built trusted partnerships with my clients by being honest, proactive and collaborative; solving their challenges with effective creative work that has driven growth for their businesses and elevated their brands.

Founder, Maya, Bristol — 2018 - 2023
My recent role has been founding a brand, design and digital marketing agency specialising in the health & wellness sector. I have driven the growth of the agency by defining our vision and values, developing strategic plans across departments, and implementing workflow processes to ensure effective delivery, as well as overseeing key projects and developing relationships as an ongoing strategic partner to our clients.

Managing Director, Yadda, Bristol — 2015 - 2018
I was brought in to help grow Yadda, a small digital agency. During my time there my responsibilities were day-to-day financial management, developing the business strategy, growing and developing the team, client development, and managing projects from brief to delivery.

Account Manager, ATGS, Bristol — 2011 - 2015
My first role agency-side involved account management, implementing processes, technical project scoping, as well as budget and project planning.

Head of Marketing & Communications, The Planning Portal, Bristol — 2004 - 2011
During my time at The Planning Portal I was responsible for all internal and external communications and stakeholder engagement for the Governments Planning Portal.
This involved devising and implementing marketing and communications strategies to deliver multiple business objectives including the efficient roll out of the national standard planning application form.By the time I left I was managing an annual budget in excess of £1m, as well as three teams of staff across marketing, communications and events as well as our external agency relationships.

Family

I live with my wife and daughter in Hereford and enjoy being around people – learning from each other and soaking up new experiences. I’m a good listener, always keen to understand what people need and helping them to achieve it, and I run a regular mens’ circle and various meditation retreats.I have built deep expertise in the charity and health & wellness sectors and I’m hugely passionate about the importance of wellbeing – an ethos I have applied to the way I have run my businesses, as well as the organisations I work with on a voluntary basis.

Next

I am now looking for a role where I can put my skills and experiences to good use – either with a client that needs support defining their digital strategy or delivering their digital transformation, or an agency that is looking to expand their team with a digital thinker who can build relationships and run projects.In either of those scenarios I’d be happy to lead or be part of a team.
